A wide variety of ladies from the Douglas County community read virtually to students at Eastside Elementary on Friday, March 5th as a part of our "Ladies Love Literacy" day. This was the culminating event for Read Across America Week which included activities throughout the entire week. Some of our readers were from the educational community & included teachers and multiple county office personnel. Others included local business owners and our own mayor, Rochelle Robinson. We are truly grateful to all of the ladies who took time from their day to show our students how girls can grow up to be successful women who become active members of their communities.
